STATUS A resident that is fairly common locally and widely distributed in Derbyshire. The greatest population densities are found in the south of the county with diminishing numbers at higher altitudes and seems to be absent from the high Peak Grit region.

ID POINTERS – Distinguished from other members of this group by smaller size and most importantly by the central or third cross-line that is sharply curved and extends to each side of the forewing. The basal cross-line is straight and the outer cross-lines is gently arched or bowed.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – July.
