STATUS – Resident in Derbyshire but is very locally distributed and scarce being confined to a few sites in the Trent Valley. Added to the county list in 1954. There seems to be a good localised colony in the central SE area (Long Eaton/ Breaston/ Sandiacre) of the county, with small numbers regularly recorded throughout the flight period. During 2019-2023 37 reports of 53 individuals from nine sites.

ID POINTERS –  Appears like a miniature version of Riband Wave. A single black spot appears in the middle of each wing
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing – July – August.
