STATUSLast recorded 2021 – A resident species, widely distributed but generally uncommon in Derbyshire. It is mainly found in woodlands and gardens where the food-plant grows (Ribes), in the south and eastern areas of the county, making sporadic appearances.
 
ID POINTERS – One of the larger members of the Larentiinae. Distinctive with broad forewing and very wavy outer edge to otherwise broad brown central band. Male rest with the end of the abdomen curled upwards.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing between  July – August
