STATUS –  A resident with a fairly restricted distribution in Derbyshire, being known only from a handful of locations. In recent years thought to be extinct in the county, however one was photographed at Baggerswell Wood, Alderwasley on 2nd June 2022.
 
 ID POINTERS – A distinctive and intricately marked black and white moth. Relatively unmistakable, but can be mistaken for Clouded Border.
 
 FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing – June – July – one of the few day flying species.
