STATUS A resident species in Derbyshire that is widely distributed but not common. 

ID POINTERS – A distinctive feature is the collar that is raised to a “Punk-Like” projection over the head. The pale fawn-grey ground colour has forewing fringes that are clean and unmarked, as opposed to Chamomile Shark, the confusion species, where they are cut by dark veins. 

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – August
