Beautiful Yellow Underwing Noctuidae – Hadeninae – Arnata myrtilli – colour code

STATUS – A resident and diurnal species that is locally common on the upland moors of Derbyshire. 

ID POINTERS – A small reddish-brown moth with white cross-line markings and a small white blotch in centre of forewing. Hind wing yellow with a black border along both leading and trailing edge.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing May – late July
