Moth Trap 16/17th February 2024
I ran my 20W Actinic garden moth trap overnight on 16th February 2024. Results were – 3 Oak Beauty; 3 Common Quaker; 2 Dotted Border; 2 Hebrew Character; 1 March Moth.

I ran a garden Moth Trap overnight on 5th August and the results as follows in no particular order :- Knot Grass 3; (NFG); Poplar Grey 1; Marbled Beauty 9; Common Footman 1; Scarce Footman 1; Buff Footman 2; Dingy Footman 1; Riband Wave 7; Large Yellow Underwing 19; Flame Shoulder 2; Willow Beauty 6;
A superb few days in one of my favourite places in the UK. During our 4 days we saw all the specialities. Our planning worked wonders again and we even managed 2 crossbill species. On 14th arriving at Loch Garten around 2pm, we very quickly encountered our first Crested Tits on our usual walk around
