Despite the glorious sunshine, it was blowing a gale and there was no sign of the Great Grey Shrike. In fact very little on the moor apart from a few Raven, a Peregrine and a Kestrel. Another visit to Cromford produced <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Tree Creeper<\/span> and a <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Dipper<\/span> on the river. Whilst looking for Hawfinch (two heard but not seen) I had a superb encounter with a pair of Long-tailed Tit. So busy collecting and looking for nest material, they were oblivious of my presence. Later in the morning, we watched a superb make <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Goshawk<\/span>. Great to see these magnificent raptors. Early afternoon and just before a torrential downpour, I managed one decent photo of a male Yellowhammer on my patch.
