This local nature reserve has become famous in recent years for one of our best songsters. Izaak Walton, a famous English writer, wrote about the song of the Nightingale &#8211;<strong><em> &#8220;breathes such sweet lowd music out of her littel instrumentall throat that it might make mankind to think miracles are not ceased&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>. How true.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the day we had at least 5 singing birds and two showed reasonably well. Also numerous warblers in song including several Lesser Whitethroat. A couple of Mediterranean Gulls were present in the large colonies of Black-headed Gull. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The year list moves on to 194<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sunday morning, May 3rd &#8211; Staunton Harold Reservoir.
