The second record for the county. The bird wasn&#8217;t in full song and he had only heard it and glimpsed it briefly. It took from 0900hrs till 1200hrs before it made another noise. During the afternoon and early evening, it was singing and showing occasionally from a small reed bed. It later moved in front of the new hide into a larger reed bed area and I last saw it skulking about low down into dense vegetation. It was a difficult bird to photograph, as when it showed, it did so only very briefly but I managed a few record shots. The bird wasn&#8217;t seen or heard the following day.
