\n\t\tThe gull roost held a 3rd winter Glaucous Gull<\/span> and the redhead Smew was still present, also c25 Goosander and 3 adult Yellow-legged Gull also in the roost.<\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tEyebrook Reservoir & Rutland Water, Leicestershire<\/span> – 9th January 2011 – Both sites are well worth a visit in the early new year. There is usually a good variety of wildfowl often with some good semi-rarities amongst the vast numbers of birds. Today was no exception with highlights as follows:-<\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tA Red Kite<\/span> at Oakham<\/span>, Slavonian Grebe, Long-tailed Duck & Red-Crested Pochard<\/span> at Barnsdale, Rutland <\/span>– A Scaup<\/span> of the Dam at Rutland<\/span> and large numbers of wildfowl all over the place. Large numbers of Goldeneye were a stunning site. Also a Marsh Tit<\/span> at Barnsdale<\/span> –<\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n
