STATUS This record looks to be the 2nd for Derbys. One record from the Rothamsted trap at Grassmoor  on the 13/08/2019. It occurs locally in England. This specimen was trapped in Quarndon on 20/21 August 2020 by Dan Brown who has kindly sent me the record and photographs. I’ve notified the county recorder.

ID POINTERS – There are two forms, this one that shows four large creamy or whitish markings and the typical one that is more golden brown with a large pale dorsal streak.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during September. It overwinters as an adult and can then be seen again during April and May.
