Yponomeutidae – Yponomeutinae – Yponomeuta rorrella – Willow Ermine

STATUS Not listed in Harrison & Sterling (1988) – Most probably a local species, found where there is White Willow (Salix alba) and Grey Willow (S.cinerea)

ID POINTERS – Difficult to ID as are the majority of the yponomeuta group, but longer and more narrow winged, with two toned white and grey forewings with black dots which are smaller in size than other yponomeuta. Mostly white in the dorsal half and in a thin line along the costa with a small white blotch along the costa near the apex which is contrasting against the grey rear third.
