Tortricidae – Tortricinae – Clepsis spectrana – Cyclamen Tortrix 

STATUS Very common in most areas across the county. Likes damp ground with exception of the moorlands.

ID POINTERS – A variable species. The ground colour can range from creamy yellow to rich chestnut-brown or dark brown. A dark diagonal cross band that blends out towards the inner forewing edge and a dark brown wedge shaped mark on the costa near the wing tip. Several dark dots and specks scattered across the forewings

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during May – September
