STATUS Widespread and often common across the county and found on Birch

ID POINTERS – Two thirds of the forewing are silver blue-grey with final third whitish. A broad dark central cross band, mixed with brown, grey and black, with a slight hook shaped indentation. tufted scales towards the basal area.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during late May – July
