STATUS Widespread and fairly common across the county where there is Oak.

ID POINTERS – A very variable species. A distinctive smoothly arched costa. Forewing is blackish or greyish-brown with whitish or greyish markings.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during July – September.
