STATUSUnknown – Not listed in Harrison & Sterling (1988). Assume now to be fairly widespread and common as the species has expanded its range. Found on uncut Hawthorn.

ID POINTERS – Forewing silvery grey shaded reddish brown to purplish-brown or blackish brown. The basal area usually darker than rest of wing. An oblique cross-line at about a third and a fine silvery grey line, both enclosing a wedge of coppery red and black. Two black dots in the central forewing are offset with the tornus.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during June – September
