STATUS Local, but widely distributed in the county. Recorded in small numbers

ID POINTERS – The palest of the British scopariinae, and one of the smallest of the group, and quite distinctive. Forewing is whitish to pale yellowish brown, with a whitish cross-line just beyond two thirds. A dot-like star-shaped or elongated spot, dark brown or blackish at two thirds.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during May – October
