STATUS – No longer regarded as a separate species but a form of Angle-barred Pug. A resident that is widely distributed and not uncommon in Derbyshire. The main area where this species is reported from is the northern central region of the county.
ID POINTERS – A large and rather plain grey, or grey-brown Pug, somewhat narrow and long winged. A small black elongated central spot in the forewing and several dark, angled, zig-zag cross-lines running through the forewing.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing May – August.
