STATUS Widely distributed and can be common in gardens in lower lying areas of the county.

ID POINTERS – Forewings are a yellowish-brown or straw-coloured with several diagonal and dark coloured cross-lines. Veins dark. Two dark brown spots in the central area of forewing and dark diagonal dashes in the corner of each wing tip. Holds wings “tent-like” when at rest.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during May – September
