STATUS A resident that continues to be present in the county and also a probable immigrant. It is now spreading from the east, as most records seem to come from the south and east along the coal measures. (2022) -The species now appears to be widely distributed in the county. It was last included in the DANES Journal round-up in 2007.

ID POINTERS – Forewing colour is a pale grey or pale to dark brownish grey, or silvery-grey. Oval and kidney marks are obvious but larger and rounder than Uncertain and Rustic. The cross-lines are similar but central band faint. Hind wing is whitish with a faint pearly sheen.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing July – August.
