Micropterigidae – Micropterix aruncella – White-barred Gold
STATUS – Generally distributed throughout the county.
ID POINTERS – A tiny species with a golden head and golden bronzy coloured forewings. Only male has the two whitish cross-lines and sometimes a spot or streak towards the apex of the forewings.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during the day in May & August
