STATUS Widespread and common throughout the county 

ID POINTERS – Exhibits a number of colour variations. Head can be white or pale yellowish-brown. Forewings orangey brown. occasionally pale brown, sometimes unicolorous. Sometimes the white patch in the costal half from the base is missing. Confusion with y.ustella can occur.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing August – September
