STATUS Common across the British Isles. In Derbyshire locally fairly common where there is Birch and Alder woodland.

ID POINTERS – One of several tiny but distinctive micro moths with a shining dark golden brassy forewing and broad white marks from wing base. Two white cross bands and several white marks along the costa. Characteristic head-down resting posture.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing in June – July – flies in afternoon sunshine
