Parametriotidae – Spuleria flavicaput – Yellow-headed Cosmet

STATUS Uncertain. Found on hawthorn. This appears to be the first record since the last one in 1981.

ID POINTERS – As the name suggests it has an obvious yellow head. Sooty black-grey forewings, with a black elongated oval tufts half way along the dorsum

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing May – June
