Status – National Status – Fairly common in mainland Britain – Derbyshire status unknown.

ID  Pointers – A Leaf-miner – A highly contorted gallery mine to begin with, becoming straighter, usually with irregular blackish frass, with the egg on the underside of the leaf. Found on Betula (Birch).
