STATUS Probably common on the heather moorlands of Derbyshire.

ID POINTERS – Forewing reddish-brown to orangey-brown, variably speckled black, with narrow white cross-bands or spots. Very attractively marked.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during June – September
