STATUS Common and widespread in most areas of the county

ID POINTERS – The characteristic orange hind-wing, bordered dark brown, is easily seen in flight. Forewing is dark yellowish brown. Markings are a dark purplish brown including and oblique cross-band, at about half way and darker patches towards the apex.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing all year round in two generations
