Pyralidae – Phycitinae – Homoeosoma sinuella – Twin-barred Knot-horn

STATUS – A fairly widespread species in the county. Found on Ribwort Plantain.

ID POINTERS – Easy enough to identify with zig zag cross-lines/bands of pinkish-brown or darker greyish-brown. Ground colour of forewing is usually a pale orangey yellowish or pale greyish-yellowish-brown.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during May-September
