STATUS Current status (2023) unknown. In 1986 was described as rare with evidence suggesting the species has a very loose hold in the south of the county. Records from Elvaston in 1973 & Long Eaton in 1981. 

ID POINTERS – The female usually larger than the male. Male forewing pale straw-yellow with a black dot at about two thirds. A brownish longitudinal streak below the costa and a dark oblique apical streak. The streaks vary in intensity. Female forewing lighter yellowish brown, looks longer, strongly pointed. Markings similar to male but can vary in intensity.

FLIGHT PERIOD – Single brooded and on the wing from May – July.
