STATUS – A resident that is widely distributed locally common across all area areas of Derbyshire. Although found across all areas and is most probably in most deciduous woodland, it is only common in where there are remnants of real ancient woodland.

ID POINTERS – A broad looking brownish grey or whitish greyish moth that has a characteristically curved leading edge to the forewing. Also the oval and kidney mark are large and pale with dark outlines. The cross-line near the outer wing edge is zig-zagged, forming small “V” shapes and black arrow-head markings and there is a black arrow head or dash mark in the trailing corner.
