STATUS Last recorded 2022 – A resident that is widely distributed and locally common in Derbyshire. A species generally associated with the uplands of the county but has been recorded from all areas. Rare in the south with this specimen being trapped in 2003. it could have been an immigrant?

ID POINTERS – A fairly distinctive pale grey moth with a black X mark in the centre of the forewing that looks similar to the Greek letter (Chi). A diagnostic feature.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing August – September.
