STATUS – A resident and locally common species but wide spread throughout the county. Usually associated with old deciduous woodland
 
ID POINTERS – The male is usually much smaller than the female. Diagnostic due to the time of the year the moth is on the wing.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing November – December.
