STATUS – A resident that is general common and widely distributed in Derbyshire. Found throughout the county with highest population densities in the Central Grit. Tends to be more local in the south
ID POINTERS – An attractively marked moth that gets its name from the colourful markings and the obvious Golden mark in the central area of the forewing near the outer edge. The ground colour is reddish-brown or purplish-brown, intricately marbled with pink or light purplish-brown. Several whitish-golden cross lines and an obvious kidney mark that is split in two and edged in gold.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – July.
