Our Holiday to Samos - Part two

Last year my wife & I visited the Greek Island of Samos for the first time. We were so struck by the place, we went back this year to the same Hotel and location. Moth Trap - Evening of 12th May 2014

12th May 2014 – Overnight weather was wet and cool and so not many species in the trap this morning. My second garden trap of the year. A Mediterranean "Punk Poser" in Yorkshire

A Hoopoe had been discovered in a large garden out in the countryside near Beverley in East Yorkshire. It was frequenting the garden lawns of a large house. The bird had been present for about three to four days and so I had my chance on Sunday 11th May. Bank Holiday in Tywyn

Apolgies for belated Blog Post – The Bank holiday weekend of 4th – 5th May was spent with my cousin and family in the lovely seaside town of Tywyn. We were on a mission of mercy – to get an old Grandfather Clock, The Baron, delivered to it's new home. Mission accomplished around 2pm on 4th May, so had plenty of time for a Moth Trap overnight on 4th May.
