STATUS – A resident that is locally common and widely distributed in Derbyshire. The highest numbers are found in the southern lowlands with lower density numbers in the Peak District. The complete opposite to Rivulet (affinitata).
 
ID POINTERS – Noticeably smaller than Rivulet but ground colour is a chocolate brown. There is a white zig-zag cross-band, with usually two indentations on the inner edge. Near to the base of the wing there is usually a second duller white cross band.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing June – August.
