STATUS – An attractive resident that is common and widely distributed throughout Derbyshire. Present in all areas of the county. Mainly associated with birch woodland where it can be very common.
 
ID POINTERS – A large moth that rests with wings flat and open. A pale emerald green in colour with two obvious cross-lines running through both fore and hind wings. Each cross-line is a darker green, edged with white. Wing tips are pointed and the hind wings are slightly scalloped with a prominent point at the tip. Fairly diagnostic.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing July – August
