STATUS – A resident that is widely distributed but generally uncommon in Derbyshire. It often favours older woodlands in the south of the county and is more common in the north, widely distributed along the Derwent Valley.
 
ID POINTERS – This is the only small British, yellow-brown and pinkish hawk-moth, so helps to make it unmistakable.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing May – July
