STATUS – A resident species that is uncommon and locally distributed in Derbyshire. Associated with the uplands and the limestone dales and present in small colonies at low density of populations.
ID POINTERS – A softly patterned species that has rather blurred markings, a dark hindwing with pure white fringes and pastel shades of grey brown and pale yellowish brown helps to ID the moth. Can show a dark band at the terminal edge of the forewing and faint zig-zag cross lines.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – September.
