STATUS – A resident that is generally distributed and common in Derbyshire. Although common across all areas it is most numerous in the south and east parts of the county.

ID POINTERS – The glossy black colour of this moth and a prominent white kidney mark make it unmistakable.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – August
