STATUS A resident that is widely distributed and fairly common in local areas of Derbyshire. Found in all areas of the county except the Peak Grit. The population varies from year to year.

ID POINTERS – The bright straw coloured lines running in angles across the forewing and the row of arrow-head  marks on the inner edge of the outer cross-line help to identify this moth from most other species. Both male female have long antennae, feathered in the male.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing August – September
