STATUS A resident that is locally common in the lowland areas of Derbyshire. Absent from the north of the county.

ID POINTERS – A variably coloured little moth and more slender than the other minors. In the form bicoloria Vill the basal half of the forewing is brown and this contrasts strikingly with the broad white outer half. Oval marks outlined in white. Other less contrasting forms occur.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing July – August.
