STATUS A resident that is fairly common and widely distributed in Derbyshire. This plusia is more numerous that pulchrina in the south of the county. It is not uncommon in all areas of the county.

ID POINTERS – Not as attractively marked as pulchrina, also slightly larger in size and the ground colour is an overall light reddish-brown and less ornately marked. The golden”y” mark is usually separated but can be complete.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – August.
