STATUS In 1986 it was believed to be no longer present in Derbyshire. A scarce species that has only been recorded from a few sites in the county since the 1990’s. It seems to be expanding its range. Fairly well established in the right habitat in the south of the county.

ID POINTERS – A small day flying grassland moth with a distinctive hind-wing of yellow and orange-brown bands. The forewing is orange-brown with darker brown diagonal cross-bands and a paler area at the outer edge of the wing with a dark brown patch at wing tip.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing May – July.
