STATUS  A resident that is widely distributed but locally common in Derbyshire. Restricted to the central & northern part of the county, especially the limestone dales.

ID POINTERS – The males have strongly feathered antennae. A broad, brown or dark brown forewing with a distinctive right-angled wing appearance. Often a number of small pale spots along the leading edge. Despite the drab colour and appearance and often obscure markings, it is not a difficult moth to identify.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – July
