A 2nd go at “The Sibe”

Another trip to Attenborough this morning paid off. I managed to get a few shots of the Pallas’s Warbler which I’m fairly happy with. The bird spent all morning in the hedgerow at the west side of the sailing pit, and by the railway line.

It was very difficult trying to pick it up amongst the trees and bushes. Such a tricky little bird. Bad enough trying to get binoculars on it, let alone the camera.

The Siberian Chiffchaff was still present along with half a dozen or so Common Chiffchaff, a few Goldcrest and a female Blackcap.

Let’s hope a few arrive in the autumn, on the coast, and in an easy place.

A “Redhead” Smew on Coneries Pond, but couldn’t find the drake Ring-necked Duck. Although it was relocated early afternoon on Main Pond.
