Moth Trap – 25-26th June 2020

Garden Moth Trap results from overnight on 25th June 2020 – the best trap so far this year, resulting in three new species for the garden – Eyed Hawkmoth, Scarlet Tiger and Coronet. 44 species – c150moths. A number escaped during the processing of the trap, so species and count totals could have been better.

Possible New Micro Moth for Derbyshire

A trap at Kings Newton on 26th-27th July produced a Eulamprotes atrella, which maybe a new micro moth for Derbyshire. In addition a variety of Macro moths including Dusky Thorn, Pebble Prominent, Knot Grass, Sallow Kitten, Maple Pug, Angle Shades, Magpie Moth and Drinker.
