Winter Thrushes visit my local village

13th December – I decide to pay a visit to my local Pond in the hope of some photographs of the wildfowl that gather there during mid-winter. I was surprised to see a decent flock of Redwings had invaded one of the large Yew Trees, and were busy stripping it of berries, along with a Mistle Thrush and several Song Thrush. A great opportunity to grab some pictures.

A female Goosander came close bye, along with Pochard, Gadwall, Coot and Tufted Duck.
