Cannock Chase – Clearwing Day 23rd June 2007

I attended a Clearwing Day at Cannock Chase on 23rd June 2007 specifically to see Welsh Clearwing. Several were attracted to a pheromone lure and showed very well. During the day other species of day time moths were seen – Map-winged Swift; Welsh Clearwing (2); Red-tipped Clearwing (1); Four Dotted Footman (1); Latticed Heath; Bordered White; Clouded Buff; Shoulder-striped Wainscot; Marbled White-spot. Mottled Beauty; Brown Silver-lines.
